Situated in the northeastern part of Corbett national park. This zone is famous for its magnificent beauty and diverse species of wild animals. It is also home to several endangered animals.
Flora- Sheesham, Sheesam, Dhak, Khair,Chir Pine, Banj Oak, Kanju, Jamun and Amla.
Fauna- Common species found in this zone are the Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Boar, Wild Asian Elephant, various species of Deer like Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Rhesus Monkey, Black Faced Monkey, Jackal, etc.
Ideal time to visit- From mid-October to mid-June.
Dhikala Zone-
It is the largest and the most picturesque zone located in the heart of Jim corbett.The Ramganga river flows alongside the zone providing mesmerising views of the wildlife in raw form.
Wildlife- Main attractions are the Royal bengal tiger and asiatic elephants. Other animals including leopards, elephants, hog deer, sambar deer and wild boar can also be spotted in this area.
Activities- Tourists can enjoy a variety of safari options like- Jeep, safari, canter safari and elephant safari.
Ideal time to visit- From November to June.
